As part of a visit to Cairo, Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov met with the Foreign Minister Kuwait Sheikh Salem Abdullah al-Jabber al-Sabah, the Azerbaijani foreign policy said.
During the meeting, Bayramov emphasized that relations between the two countries are historically built on the principles of friendship. He noted that Azerbaijan intends to further expand cooperation with Kuwait.
The Minister stated the successful development of bilateral and multilateral relations and emphasized the importance of cooperation and mutual support within the framework of international organizations.
The Foreign Minister exchanged opinions on further plans within the framework of the joint commission for cooperation between the Government of Azerbaijan and Kuwait, whose co-chairs are, and the summit of the contact group of non-alignment on the fight against Covid-19, which is planned to be conducted in Baku in March.
The parties also discussed the prospects for cooperation in the areas of tourism, science, education, culture and other areas.
