Bayramov: Steps of Azerbaijan are aimed at world in region

The steps taken by Baku in the period after the end of the Karabakh war are aimed at ensuring peace in the region. This was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov at a joint briefing with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, Azerbaijani media reported on Monday.

According to him, Azerbaijan continues to work to ensure sustainable peace and security, as well as to open communications in the region.

“Work carried out in the Karabakh economic district of Azerbaijan is aimed at preventing humanitarian disasters and the return of forced immigrants to native lands. At the same time, the work on the purification of the mines of the republic polluted by mines continues,” added Azerbaijan Foreign Minister.
