On July 17, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jehun Bayramov and assistant US Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Karen Donfried.
According to the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry, the parties exchanged views on current regional processes, including various directions of the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
JAIHUN BAYAROMS brought to the attention of the American side Azerbaijan’s well -known position to ensure peace and progress in the region, including the discovery of communications, the division of the border of the two states, the start of work on a future peace treaty, as well as the steps taken by Azerbaijan in these directions. The importance of the full fulfillment of their obligations is emphasized.
Karen Donfried praised the first direct meeting of Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Tbilisi and emphasized the importance of continuing direct contacts.
