Belarusian expenses for defense in 2023 will amount to about $ 1 billion. This is twice as much as in 2021, writes the publication “Agency” with reference to a military analyst, the head of the Polish analytical center Rochan Consulting Conrad music.
In 2021, the defense budget of Belarus amounted to 1.36 billion Belarusian rubles ($ 540 million), in 2022 – 1.69 billion Belarusian rubles ($ 670 million). This year, the budget has grown by almost a billion rubles compared to last year, compared to 2021 – almost 1.3 billion.
According to music, even taking into account inflation, which is expected to be 16% after 2022, in 2023 the defense budget of Belarus will increase by 45% in real terms.
This year, the expenses for the internal affairs bodies and the KGB – to 135 and 40 million dollars, respectively, also increased significantly in Belarus. National security expenses increased in 2023 to 1.1 billion dollars with $ 0.58 billion).
