Belarusian Prime Minister: Minsk aims at development of partnership with Cairo

Belarus and Egypt can open a new page of cooperation and friendship.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko at a meeting with Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafoi Madbuli in Cairo, BelTA reports.

Golovchenko thanked his colleague for the invitation of the Belarusian delegation to visit Egypt on an official visit.

“The presidents of our countries met several times. There, it seems to me, there is a very high level of mutual understanding and the mood to strengthen the Belarusian -Egyptian relations in all areas,” said the head of the Belarusian government.

The Prime Minister drew attention to the fact that the Belarusian side was carefully preparing for this meeting: “We hope that the fruitful negotiations that we will hold during our stay in Cairo will open a new page in the history of the partnership between Egypt and Belarus.”

Golovchenko emphasized that the history of cooperation and friendship of the two countries is rooted in the days of the Soviet Union, when Belarusian experts participated in the implementation of many projects in Egypt.

I believe that we, Mr. Prime Minister, must use this chance – our meeting, negotiations that we will hold in the format of delegations – in order to open a new page, new directions in which we need to attach even more efforts for the benefit of the economy of our countries, ”said Golovchenko.
