Berdimuhamedov noted importance of expanding trade and economic ties between countries of Central Asia

The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, noted the importance of expanding trade and economic relations between Central Asian countries and increasing the volume of mutual turnover. The Turkmen leader announced this at an advisory meeting of the heads of the Central Asian state in Dushanbe.

“I think that the limiting specifics and effective measures are required here. We propose to consider in this connection the issue of creating the Central Asian Chamber of Commerce. The meaning and purpose of its work is the coordination of our joint steps

“Turkmenistan is ready for the supply of its natural gas and electricity to the countries of Central Asia and through their territory to foreign markets on mutually beneficial conditions. We consider it possible to consider this proposal from the point of view of establishing long -term interaction between our states. In addition, the president proposed to consider the possibility of launching the Central Asian transport and logistics platform, the main task of which could be the consideration of the creation of transport hubs in the region, the formation of new and the efficiency of existing transit corridors.

In Dushanbe, the fifth consultative meeting of the heads of the state of Central Asia was held.
