Biden appointed a judge of Muslim

US President Joe Biden for the first time in history appointed a federal judge of an American professionally to Islam, reports Fox News.

Biden chose the candidacy of the 45-year-old Zahide of Kurayshi for the post of federal judge of the New Jersey Court of Jersey, and in the case of official approval by the Special Committee of the Senate of his appointment, the Army will be the first in the history of the United States of Muslim in this position.

Zahid Kurayshi is an American citizen of Pakistani origin. He received a lawyer’s diploma at Ratger University and now combines the judicial service with teaching work in the same university. Kurayshi was also a military prosecutor and in 2004-2006 was among the contingent of American troops in Iraq. Later he held the post of federal prosecutor in New Jersey. In 2019, Kurayshi was appointed judge magistrate in New Jersey.
