Azerbaijan plays an important role in ensuring energy safety at the global level. This is stated in the appeal of US President Joe Biden for participants in the Baku Energy Week.
The text of the appeal was read on Wednesday by the assistant US Secretary of State for Energy Resources Jeffrey Payette.
In his message, Biden noted that the last 30 years in the relations of the United States and Azerbaijan have become a period of close partnership. “This cooperation also applied to the areas of joint fighting against international challenges and promoting economic growth,” the US president stated.
According to the American leader, the formation of the “median transport corridor” and the creation of the southern gas corridor allows us to diversify energy sources, which contributes to world energy security.
The head of the White House also highly appreciated the efforts of Azerbaijan in the field of green energy and increased energy efficiency.
He assured that the United States will continue to contribute to the long -term world and stability in the South Caucasus in the name of future generations. “We support the process of reforms and the principle of the rule of law in the country. I look forward to cooperation with Azerbaijan and in the coming years,” the message said further.
