The American military expressed concern about the possible trip of the speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi (California) to Taiwan, said US President Joe Biden.
“I think the military believe that now this is not a very good idea. But I do not know what the status of the trip is,” the pool of the White House quotes his words.
According to the US media reports, Pelosi plans to visit Taiwan next month. Her office does not comment on a possible trip. Beijing, in turn, warned that any visit to Pelosi and other US officials “will have a serious negative impact on the political basis of the Sino-American relations.”
