The Russian billionaire of Armenian descent Ruben Vardanyan announced the decision to abandon Russian citizenship and move to Karabakh. He published his video message on social networks and YouTube.
According to Vardanyan, he accepted “understanding what risks I take on myself, to abandon Russian citizenship”, to move to Karabakh as a citizen of Armenia.
Vardanyan claims that this decision “was very difficult for him, but so correctly.” All Russian assets of the billionaire will be transferred to the family fund. “I will give everything to the management of partners and transfer to the family fund,” Vardanyan said to the Russian media.
Vardanyan Forbes estimates $ 1 billion, in 2021 he took 116th in the list of richest people in Russia.
