The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev completed a working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. This is stated in the message of the press service of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As part of the visit, Kasymaliev took part and performed at the Tashkent International Investment Forum.
In addition, he met with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov.
At a meeting of the President of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, the parties expressed readiness and desire to further strengthen and expand the comprehensive strategic partnership between Bishkek and Tashkent.
Prime Minister of the KR confirmed that the comprehensive deepening of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations meets the long-term interests of the two peoples.
During the negotiations with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that the Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations reached an unprecedentedly high and qualitatively new level.
In turn, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov emphasized that the cooperation between the two countries has reached an unprecedented level, noting the contribution of the heads of the two states.
During the meeting, the issues of cooperation between the two countries in the economic, transport, water-energy and cultural and humanitarian spheres were discussed.
The parties agreed to hold this year the next meetings of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek intergovernmental commission, the business council, the forum of the rectors of the two countries, as well as the first meeting of the Council of Heads of Regions.
At the end of the meeting, the parties signed the following documents:
– a protocol on amendments and additions to the agreement on interregional cooperation between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 5, 2017;
– a roadmap of joint practical actions to implement the agreements reached during the state visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Zhaparov to the Republic of Uzbekistan July 18-19, 2024.
Adylbek Kasymaliev also visited a number of objects, including a solar power plant in the Tashkent region. In addition, he got acquainted with the first national exhibition of the industrial and investment potential of Uzbekistan, organized as part of the forum.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers also visited the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan and got acquainted with its activities.
