Blinken: sanctions prevent Russia from replenishing weapons reserves

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Sunday in an interview with CNN that Western sanctions against Russia are forcing Moscow to pay an increasing price and make it difficult to replenish the reserves of weapons to continue the war with Ukraine.

According to Blinken, in the context of trade control introduced by the United States and its allies, Russia cannot import the details necessary to create new weapons.

“every day the burden for Russia becomes heavier,” he emphasized, adding that Western allies are constantly looking for ways to tighten sanctions even more to undermine the Russian economy and its military efforts.

Blinken accused Russia of “trying to use the winter for its own purposes”, inflicting large -scale aircraft students in Ukrainian infrastructure in recent weeks to undermine the morale of the Ukrainian people.

“This is real barbarism,” stated Blinken.
