Bloomberg: Most of vaccines received rich countries

The proportion of coronavirus in the world is about five percent, but the rich countries received most of the vaccines, Bloomberg said.

According to the agency, 40% of the total vaccination was made in 27 secured states, which, in turn, constitute only 11% of the world’s population. Meanwhile, in the poorest countries, the same percentage of the world’s population received about 1.6% of vaccines. Thus, their population is vaccinated 25 times slower.

in the United States, for example, accounts for 24% of the total number of vaccinations, while in the states live 4.3% of the population of the Earth. In Pakistan, in turn, 2.7% of humanity live, but there the share of vaccination amounted to only 0.1% of the world. In rich countries, among other things, a tendency to purchase vaccines in quantities allowing to instill all citizens several times, clarified the media.

In turn, Africa, being the poorest continent, remains the least grafted from COVID-19. Only in three countries from 54 vaccinated more than 1% of the population, and in 20 countries, the campaign of vaccination from coronavirus has not yet begun.
