Akhaak’s bodies of eight Chinese migrants were discovered off the coast of the Mexican state of Ohak.
According to CNN with reference to the statement of the prosecutor’s office, the bodies of migrants were found on the beach in the city of San Francisco-del Mar March 29.
The statement stated that the migrants went from the state of Cheyapas on the border with Guatemalah on the boat, which was ruled by the Mexican, but later the boat turned over.
It is noted that as a result of the disaster, one of the Chinese migrants survived, eight Chinese died, seven of whom were women.
According to the US government, in 2023, more than 37 thousand Chinese citizens were detained by law enforcement agencies during the illegal crossing of the border from Mexico to the United States.
According to the International Migration Organization (IMO), in January-November 2023 more than 2 million 240 thousand people arrived to the border to cross the border from the United States through Mexico.
