Body of fourth dead miner was found in Kazakhstan

The body of the fourth miner was found in the Kazakhstan mine, Kazinform reports.

The body of the third miner was found on August 18.

Earlier, on August 17, in the production of a coal slope D6 (horizon – 170 m), a conveyor tape fire occurred. At the time of fire in the mine there were 227 people.

The fate of the two miners remains unknown. Search is conducted by employees of the PVASS RFSSh and Emergencies. The reasons for the fire will be clarified.

In medical institutions there are 11 workers, of which 9 people are in Karaganda, and two people in Shakhtinsk.

A criminal case has been opened on the fact of a fire on a coal mine – a pre -trial investigation has begun under Article 277 of Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The case is under the control of the prosecutor’s office of the Karaganda region. Responsible for an accident at the mine may face up to 7 years in prison.

Kazakhstan Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov demanded that the Ministry of Emergencies and the Ministry of Ecology quickly complete the Arselormital Temirtau “Industrial and Ecological Audites for making an appropriate decision.

On August 19, Smailov arrived in the Karaganda region. He met with members of the families of miners who died as a result of an accident at the Kazakhstan mine and promised that all responsible persons would be punished.
