Borrel proposed to impose sanctions against a large number of persons and organizations from Russia

The head of diplomacy of the European Union Jozep Borrel proposed to introduce sanctions against a larger number of persons and organizations in Russia, RIA “News” reports.

“President of the European Commission Ursula von der Lyien has just made up new EU measures related to trade, access to markets, Russian membership in international financial organizations, crypto assets, exports of luxury goods and measures against steel and energy sectors. In addition to these Sectoral Measures, I put forward a proposal to impose sanctions against a larger number of persons and organizations that play an active role or support those who undermine the sovereignty of Ukraine, “Borrel said.

According to him, the restrictive measures proposed by them “will continue to strike the oligarchs associated with the regime of the elite, well-known businessmen and their families … Measures will also affect the larger number of people playing a leading role in disinformation and propaganda.”

Recall that the fourth package of sanctions of the European Union against Russia is expected on March 12.
