The President believes that his position allowed Brazil to continue to purchase Russian fertilizers necessary for the country’s agricultural sector. “Economic barriers that the United States and Europe introduced against Russia did not work,” he said.
Brazil did not support anti -Russian sanctions. Earlier, the Foreign Minister of Brazil Carlos France said that he was ready to act as an intermediary between Russia and Ukraine. Zhir Bolsonaru expressed his readiness to visit Moscow, and the representative of the country in the UN called for the lead to Russian fertilizers from the sanctions.
