British Foreign Minister: Blockade Of Strait Of Strait Is Mistake

British Foreign Minister David Lammi called on Tehran to return to the negotiating table in the Ormuz Strait.

Speaking in the morning program BBC Radio 4 “Today”, Lammi commented on the blows of the United States on Iranian nuclear facilities.

According to him, he made it clear that Iran’s answer – whether it was the shelling of American bases in the region or blocking the key transport corridor in the Strait of the Strait – “will become a catastrophic mistake.”

“now to open fire on American bases in the region would be a huge, fatal mistake. Our forces are also there. It would be a disaster. The blockade of the Strait of the Strait is also a mistake,” the minister emphasized.

Lammi added that he asked the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran Abbas Erakchi “to transfer to the Iran’s leadership a persistent demand to take his nuclear project.”

“It is time for them to take the path from the crisis to take the proposed path of the crisis,” he said.

US strikes could drop Iran’s nuclear program for several years

The minister clarified that Western allies are still analyzing the consequences of blows, but they admit that Iran can still have a reserve of highly enriched uranium. Nevertheless, according to Lammi, the US actions “could be discarded by the Iranian nuclear program several years ago”.

Lammi refused to answer the question of the legal legitimacy of air strikes, noting that this is the prerogative of Washington.

“Iranians still have the way to de -escalation,” the minister said.

He recalled that negotiations between Iran and the “Three” European countries (France, Germany, Great Britain) were “very difficult”.

“Everyone calls for Tehran to treat negotiations with the EU and the United States more seriously,” concluded Lammi.
