Brother Elizabeth II accused of an attempt to sell a meeting with Putin

Queen’s cousin UK Elizabeth II, Prince Michael Kent, accused of trying to sell the opportunity to meet Vladimir Putin, reports the Air Force with reference to Sunday Times.

Journalists of the British publication conducted an investigation, in which under the guise of representatives of a privately owned company met with Kent. At the meeting they were reported that the prince could submit them to Putin. Objectives of such a presentation remained unclear. Kent’s friend, Marquis Reading, later described him as “Queen’s informal ambassador in Russia.” Reading added that Kent can appreciate his five-day visit to Russia for protection of about 50 thousand pounds. Either he can write a video message with the recommendation of a private company for 200 thousand dollars.

78-year-old Prince Michael rejected these charges. His official representative noted that such a Kent would not want to fulfill and could not do this. Such meetings, according to him, are impossible without the consent of the British Embassy and promoting the Russian-British Chamber of Commerce. In addition, the press was reminded that Kent was not met with Putin since 2003.
