Bulgaria refused to negotiate with Gazprom

The Provisional Government of Bulgaria will not negotiate on a new short -term, medium or long -term contract with Gazprom Export, the dialog will be carried out only within the framework of the existing agreement. This was reported by the press service of the Bulgarian government following negotiations between the Deputy Prime Minister on Economic Policy of Bulgaria Khrista Aleksiev with the head of the Energy Directorate of the European Commission Ditte Yul Yorgensen.

“We believe that such a decision should not be made by the Provisional Government. Only a regular office and parliament can accept such a new, future obligation,” the Russian media quoted.

It is specified that the Provisional Government will first announce the international tender for long -term supplies of liquefied natural gas, and the decision to conclude such a contract will be made by a new government.

The technical government in Bulgaria was appointed by President Rumen Radev on August 1. He also announced early parliamentary elections that will be held on October 2.
