Call to Action on Antimicrobial Resistance 2021

The Call to Action on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) – 2021 was launched during the closing session of the High-Level Interactive Dialogue on Antimicrobial Resistance on 29 April 2021 to raise global ambition on AMR whilst accommodating diverse national circumstances.

Presented by the Group of Friends on Tackling AMR, it calls for enhanced national and global efforts to tackle AMR through a One Health approach, for the acceleration of previous commitments to tackle AMR, for improved antimicrobial stewardship, for work towards financing for AMR action, for increased research on AMR’s impacts, and for supporting the new One Health Global Leaders Group on AMR among other key steps.

As of 30 July 2021, there are 113 Member State signatories to the Call to Action and 29 supporting organizations.
