U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) provided advisory, operational and support support to more than 22 operations against the terrorist organization Daesh in Syria between October 1 and November 6.
The command statement noted that the operations were conducted jointly with Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve and local partners in Syria, who were provided with advisory and technical support support.
According to CENTCOM, as a result of the operations, 5 Daesh militants were neutralized and 19 more were detained.
CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper, whose words are quoted in the statement, noted that this result is important for combating the threat from Daesh in Syria. “We will continue to pursue the residual forces of the organization, and together with the Global Coalition, prevent its reformation and the spread of terrorist attacks to other countries,” the statement follows.
