The Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Farhad Abdullaev took part in the V -World Congress “Constitutional justice and peace”, which was held in the Indonesian city of Denpasar from October 4 to 8.
The Azerbaijani delegation attended the Azerbaijani, at the invitation of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice and the Constitutional Court of Indonesia.
The Congress was attended by the heads of the highest state bodies of Indonesia, the delegations of the constitutional courts of 119 countries – participants in the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, as well as representatives of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe.
The Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan is a full member of the organization of the World Conference on the Service of Justice.
At the opening of the event, Indonesia President Joko Vidodo performed. In the practical part of the Congress, representatives of the constitutional courts of the organization of the organization presented reports on the role of constitutional justice in ensuring the legality and protecting constitutional values, the possibilities of direct appeal to the Constitutional Court. The Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan Farhad Abdullaev made a final report at the congress “Basic principles: the protection of human rights, democracy and the rule of law as a prerequisite for public peace.”
After the Congress, a meeting of the General Assembly of the Organization of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice was held.
As part of the visit of the delegation of Azerbaijan, bilateral official meetings were held with the chairman of the Constitutional Court of Indonesia, judges, exchange of views on mutual judicial legal cooperation.
