The Chairman of China Xi Jinping on Thursday held negotiations with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in China to participate in the China -Central Asia summit and on a state visit, Sinhua reports
Thanks to the efforts of China and Tajikistan, from the moment of establishing the diplomatic executions between them, bilateral ties made a leap from good neighborliness and friendship to strategic partnership, and then to the relationship of a comprehensive strategic partnership, Si Jinping noted.
At the same time, the Chinese leader recalled that during his visit to Tajikistan in 2019, he, together with Emomali Rahmon, announced the creation of the Chinese-Tajik development and safety community, in the construction of which promoting progress has been achieved over the past four years.
Xi Jinping emphasized that Chinese-Tajik relations have deep historical roots and a strong political basis.
In a new environment, focusing on the bright future of the peoples of the two countries, China is ready to make joint efforts together with Tajikistan to comprehensively raise the level of cooperation in various fields and promote the creation of a single fate characterized by friendship from generation to generation, care about each other and mutual benefit, summed up Xi Jinping.
In addition, the chairman of China Xi Jinping held a meeting on Thursday with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Presidents of all five countries of Central Asia arrived in the city of Sien Province Schanxi to participate in the China – Central Asia summit.
