Valentin Sukalo worked as the Minister of Justice of the Belarusian SSR, deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of the USSR. After the coming to power, Alexander Lukashenko, Sukalo received the post of Minister of Justice. In 1997, he was appointed chairman of the Supreme Court, and still holds this position.
