The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk discussed with the chairman of the German Bundestag Julia Klekner key issues of supporting Ukraine and achieving a fair world. On Tuesday, on August 12, it was reported in the telegram channel of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
During a telephone conversation, Ruslan Stefanchuk emphasized that in Berlin they share the position of Kyiv: any decisions regarding the world are impossible to take into account the interests of Ukraine.
He emphasized that the territorial integrity of the country, fixed in the constitution and recognized The international community is not a subject of negotiations. “Ukraine will not make concessions to the aggressor and will not trade its sovereignty or territories,” the speaker of the parliament said.
Stefanchuk noted that the responsibility for the cessation of violence and hostilities lies exclusively in Russia. Only after the fulfillment of this condition, further political steps are possible, which will take into account both the Ukrainian and European positions, said the chairman of the Ukrainian parliament. He also emphasized the importance of the direct participation of Europe in the negotiation process, since the safety of Ukraine and Europe is inextricably linked.
“We and Julia Klekner are united in the opinion: the world should be stable and fair. It can only be achieved through the united pressure on the aggressor, including the strengthening of the sanctions, the continuation of military and financial support of Ukraine, as well as the assistance of its accelerated integration into the European Union, ”said Ruslan Stefanchuk.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada expressed deep gratitude to Julia Klekner and Bundestag for the consistent support of Ukraine, noting that their position emphasizes: the security of Ukraine is an inalienable part of European security.
