German Chancellor Olaf Sholts congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan by his re -election to the post of head of state.
According to the Directorate for the Relations of the Administration of the President of Turkey, Scholz held a telephone conversation with Erdogan, during which he congratulated the Turkish leader on success in the elections.
Erdogan, in turn, expressed hope for the distant development of relations with Germany in the coming period.
