Chavushoglu: “Turkey is not concentrated on what Russia will say”

Discussing Sweden and Finland, Turkey puts its own political interests at the forefront, and not relations with Russia, said the Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Chavushoglu on the air of the NTV television channel, commenting on the results of the 32nd NATO summit in Madrid.

According to him, there are questions in which Ankara and Moscow adhere to a single position, there are those in which there are disagreements. “At the same time, Turkey is concentrated more to satisfy its own interests than what Russia will say,” Anadolu quotes him.

Chavushoglu also recalled that Ankara has always supported the policy of NATO expansion. He also added that in Moscow they criticized the desire of the two Scandinavian countries into the North Atlantic Alliance, but there were no sharp attacks on Ankara.
