Chavushoglu: Türkiye continues efforts to evacuate from Sudan

Ankara continues to export Turkish citizens and other countries from Sudan. This was stated by the Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Chavushoglu on TV channel TV 100.

He said that Turkey authorities evacuate 1490 Turkish citizens from Sudan through Ethiopia.

“We evacuated 1490 people from Sudan by bus. Of these, 640 reached Ethiopia. 189 people crossed the Ethiopian border and follow in the direction of Addis Ababa. Currently, 850 people are still on the road. Tomorrow we are sending the rest of our citizens by bus”, – told Chavushoglu.

According to him, it is currently planned to evacuate people with air transport.

The minister added that he contacted his Ethiopian colleague to discuss issues of alleviation of intersection evacuated by the boundaries of this country.

According to Chavushoglu, Turkey also helped 110 citizens of 13 countries get out of Sudan’s conflict covered by the armed conflict.
