China Called EU To Mutually Beneficial Partnership For Sake Of “global Stability”

The Foreign Minister of China Van called on the EU to enter into a reliable, strong and mutually beneficial partnership with Beijing to ensure global stability.

According to Global Times, Van and in the period from June 30 to July 6 visited Germany, France and held a number of meetings in Europe.

On the eve of the visit, the head of Chinese diplomacy held negotiations with the Prime Minister of Belgium Bart De Vever.

Van recalled that this year there is 50 years in establishing diplomatic relations between China and the EU, and noted that in the current international situation, Beijing and Brussels, it is necessary to adhere to the principles of partnership and cooperation.

“China and the EU should become reliable, strong and mutually beneficial partners for the sake of global stability. Both parties should strengthen communication, increase mutual understanding, build confidence and jointly defend a multilateral system and free trade,” the minister emphasized.

The Prime Minister of Belgium de Vaver, in turn, drew attention to the importance of strengthening mutual trust and the development of dialogue between Europe and China, despite the existing disagreements in the conditions of a complex geopolitical situation.

He also noted that Belgium is committed to versatility, supports strengthening the strategic autonomy of Europe and expects positive results from the upcoming summit of the EU and China leaders.

de Vever emphasized that Brussels firmly adheres to the policy of the “Unified China”. The parties also exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine.
