Experts consider the cause of interruptions of coal shortages and new carbon dioxide emission quotas in China. The state power grid corporation of the country on Monday promised in the near future to restore the power supply in the cities.
Because of the interruptions last week, many plants suspended work, including the supply components to Tesla and Apple companies.
BBC reminds that the problems with electricity in China began in the summer. In July, the authorities began planned shutdowns in Beijing and Si’an. Bloomberg agency with reference to the Chinese power grid corporation then reported that interruptions are possible in 11 provinces in the East and in the center of the country – consumption in these provinces has grown to record values. Then analysts tied it with hot summer weather. Now, with the approach of winter, in the north of the country begins to get colder. China’s Ministry of Energy ordered that coal and gas suppliers are preparing for the winter consumption jump.
