On Monday, November 17, the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, will host the China Visitors Summit for the first time, organized by the State Tourism Agency.
The summit is attended by representatives of the tourism industry of China and Azerbaijan.
As reported by Azerbaijani state media, the event will include B2B meetings between representatives of more than 50 Chinese travel companies and representatives of the local tourism industry, as well as discussions of cooperation prospects.
As part of the event, it is also planned to organize visits of Chinese travel companies to the Shamakhi, Gabala, Sheki and Gakh regions, as well as a presentation of the tourism potential of the regions.
The number of Chinese citizens who visited Azerbaijan in 2024 increased by 94% compared to 2023 and reached 44,798 people. The number of Chinese tourists who visited Azerbaijan from January to October 2025 exceeded 57 thousand people, which is 49% more than in the same period in 2024.
