Cities of Europe are preparing to turn off gas

The city in Europe is experiencing a lack of gas and are forced to introduce hard restrictions on the use of electricity, writes Bloomberg.

In particular, Spain, France and Germany introduce strict standards for the use of electricity, thereby trying to reduce gas consumption. Earlier, the EU agreed to reduce energy consumption by 15%. This led to increased control over thermostats and light switches throughout Europe. In Spain, it was forbidden to cool the premises with air conditioners below 27 ° C, highlight the monuments and turn on the backlight in stores after 22:00. The decree on this will be valid until November 2023. Italy and Greece introduced similar prohibitions on the air conditioning – not lower than 27 ° C.

In the German table Berlin, the government obligated to reduce its own energy consumption by 10%. The city stopped highlighting the monuments at night. And in French Paris, fines of 150 € were introduced for enterprises that leave windows and doors open during the air conditioner.

All this was done in order to stop the “gas” crisis that the European Union encountered after the start of the war in Ukraine and the introduction of strict anti -Russian sanctions.

According to experts, in winter the situation will be catastrophic. In winter, heating will be the main one. Many people may encounter its disconnection or with the need to reduce the heating of the premises. In Germany, they plan to do just that.

It is still unclear how Europe will come out of this crisis. Now she is intensely looking for gas suppliers and is working on the use of alternative energy sources.
