Citizens of Ukraine will be able to enter Russian Federation and leave it without visas and by internal passports

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree providing for the procedure for the entry and departure of citizens of Ukraine. The corresponding decree was signed on Friday, September 29, the document was published on the portal of legal information.

According to the document, citizens of Ukraine can enter and leave Russia without a visa by Ukrainian passport, including with an expired validity.

In addition, citizens of Ukraine will be able to enter Russia and leave it on the basis of a passport, diplomatic or official passport, identity of the sailor or member of the crew of the aircraft or other document from the list established by decree.

In the case of children, a birth certificate or passport of a legal representative with information about the child will be required.

Earlier, in March, Putin signed a law according to which citizens of the Russian Federation, who also have citizenship of Ukraine, may terminate the latter from the date of filing the relevant application in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
