The Russian group of troops “Vostok” during a military operation in Ukraine is commanded by Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov. He met the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense Sergei Shoigu, who instructed the Vostok group, the military department said in a press release.

“At the command post, the commander of the Vostok group, Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov, reported to the head of the Russian military department about the current situation and the progress of the assigned combat missions to defeat the enemy forces in the area of ​​responsibility,” the Ministry of Defense said.

During the inspection, Shoigu ordered the Vostok group to cover the Donbass from shelling. Other details of the meeting in the ministry did not bring.

Recall that earlier Lieutenant General Rustam Muradov commanded the contingent of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh.
