Commercial reserves of raw oil in the United States decreased by 4.3 million barrels over the past week compared to the previous one, the US energy information (EIA) said.
According to EIA, commercial oil reserves decreased to 436.1 million barrels. For comparison, analysts expected a decrease by 2.9 million barrels.
At the same time, the strategic oil reserves that are not included in commercial ones increased by 500 thousand barrels and reached 401.8 million barrels.
During the same period, gasoline reserves in the country grew by about 5.2 million barrels and amounted to 228.3 million barrels.

Raw oil production in the United States for the period from May 24 to 30 increased by 7 thousand barrels per day, reaching 13.408 million barrels per day.
At the same time, oil imports into the country decreased by 5 thousand barrels per day compared to the previous week and amounted to 6.346 million barrels. Raw oil exports decreased by 394 thousand barrels per day, to 3.907 million barrels.
According to the short -term EIA forecast for May 2025, it is expected that the average daily oil production in the United States will be 13.42 million barrels this year.
