Today, a telephone conversation between the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Chairman of the People’s People’s Republic of Czy Jinspin was held.
According to HAQQIN.AZ, with reference to the official website of the head of state, Ilham Aliyev and Si Jinping noted with satisfaction that during the Pandemic period COVID-19 Azerbaijan and China, showing real friendship, overcame difficulties and supported each other. President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude to the chairman of the PRC for support in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
during the conversation it was noted that Azerbaijan and China successfully cooperate in the political, economic and transport and logistics spheres. The head of state noted the readiness of Azerbaijan to further strengthen links with China and welcomed the expansion of Chinese companies in Azerbaijan.

Czinspin stressed that Chinese-Azerbaijani relations are on the threshold of a new historical stage, noting that both countries develop traditional friendship, deepen cooperation and strengthen mutual support. The Chairman of the People’s Republic of China stressed that Azerbaijan is an important partner in the implementation of the “one belt – one way” initiative and China supports the development path chosen by the Azerbaijani people.
Heads of State noted that in 2022 the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries will be celebrated, and this significant event will contribute to the further development of relations between Azerbaijan and China.
Heads of state touched upon the importance of joint coordination of activities as part of the development of the project “one belt – one way” and the use of available opportunities. There was also a need to deepen cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport and logistics, promoting the creation of transport corridors in Central Asia and Europe.
Si Jinspin expressed the readiness of Chinese companies to further encourage investment in Azerbaijan, the development of cooperation in infrastructure projects. At the same time, he stressed that China intends to import high-quality special products from Azerbaijan.
During the conversation, it was noted that two countries are ready to make joint efforts to promote the development of a comprehensive strategic partnership.
Heads of state mutually expressed support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of their countries.
