Representatives of the United States and Ukraine will hold consultations in Switzerland in the coming days regarding the possible parameters of a future peace agreement. This was announced by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
“Recently in Switzerland we are starting consultations between officials of Ukraine and the United States regarding the possible parameters of a future peace agreement. Ukraine is approaching this process with a clear understanding of its interests. This is the next stage of the dialogue, which has been ongoing in recent days and, above all, is intended to agree on a vision of further steps,” Umerov wrote on the Telegram channel.
As reported by the Office of the President Ukraine, these days there will be consultations on steps to end the war.
“As agreed with our partners, consultations on steps to end the war will take place the other day. The day before, the President of Ukraine approved the composition of the Ukrainian delegation and directives for the relevant negotiations,” the message says.
The Office noted that Kyiv is counting on constructive work and is ready to “work as quickly as possible to achieve real peace.”
“Ukraine will never be an obstacle to peace, representatives The Ukrainian state will protect the fair interests of the Ukrainian people and the foundations of European security,” the press service indicated.
Composition of the delegation for negotiations
In addition, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky approved the composition of the delegation to participate in the negotiation process with the United States of America and other international partners of Ukraine, as well as with representatives of the Russian Federation in order to achieve a “just and sustainable world.”
