Council of Europe wants to strengthen confidence between Baku and Yerevan

The Council of Europe supports efforts to find long-term sustainable solutions in Karabakh. This was stated by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maria Paychinovich Buric during the summer session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).

According to her, the Council of Europe can strengthen confidence measures.

“immediately after the conflict, as soon as it became possible, we sent a high-level group in Baku and Yerevan,” she said.

“We are now at the final stage of developing measures that will cover non-political issues to strengthen confidence in post-conflict areas between the two countries,” added Buric.
