Court fined deputies who called on to remove Putin from power

The Smolninsky District Court of St. Petersburg appointed five municipal deputies who called for accusing Russian President Vladimir Putin of Gosizmen and refuse him from office. According to the Russian media, the deputies found guilty under the article on the “discredit” of the army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation).

Dmitry Palyugu, the author of the initiative, was fined 47 thousand rubles. His colleagues Nikita Yuferva – 46 thousand rubles, Dmitry Baltrukov, Ivan Chebotar and Anna Kiseleva – 44 thousand rubles each.

On September 8, the Smolninskoye Council of the Municipal Education in St. Petersburg decided to call for State Duma deputies to be charged with the Stateizer against Russian President Vladimir Putin to refuse him from office. The texts of the solution and appeal said that “during the war,“ young able -bodied ”citizens of Russia are dying, the Russian economy suffers, NATO expands east, and Ukraine receives new weapons.”
