The Minsk Regional Court sentenced to 11 years in prison Maria Kolesnikov – a member of the Opposition Council of Belarus, coordinator of Viktor Babariko headquarters in the 2020 presidential election, RBC reports.
Together with her, the lawyer Maxim sign was sentenceded, also a member of the Opposition Coordination Council. His court sentenced to ten years.
The court recognized both guilty of committing crimes provided for in Part 1 of Article.357 (a conspiracy with the aim of capturing the authorities), part 3 of Article 361 (calls for actions aimed at causing national security), Part 1 of Article 361 -1 (creating an extremist formation) of the Criminal Code of Belarus.
In accordance with the decision of the Court of Kolesnikov, will serve the sentence in the colony of the general, the sign – reinforced mode.
