During a telephone conversation, the parties expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates, in particular, an exchange of views took place on the prospects for further expansion of cooperation in the economic, trade, energy and other fields.
Crown Prince Abu Dhabi said that the UAE was interested in developing strategic cooperation with Azerbaijan in renewable energy sources (renewable) and supported projects.
The head of the Azerbaijani state noted that Azerbaijan has a great potential in the field of renewable energy, and emphasized the importance of a Garadag’s solar power plant with a capacity of 230 MW, which is built by Masdar.
“The interlocutors exchanged views on ensuring stability in the global energy market in the light of events in Ukraine, as well as on international and regional agenda, and representing mutual interest,” the press service of the head of the Azerbaijani state is reported.
