CSTO Discussed Key Aspects Of Regional And Global Security

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov announced the results of the meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council in a narrow format.

According to the press service of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, the head of state spoke at the opening of the plenary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.

According to him, at the meeting in a narrow format, the participants productively discussed a wide range of issues. Japarov said that there was an open exchange of views on key aspects of regional and global security.

The head of state noted that mutual understanding was reached on all points of the session. “At the same time, concrete steps have been taken to counter modern challenges and security threats. Work was actively carried out to strengthen the international authority of our organization and expand foreign policy coordination. Practical measures were implemented in the field of military-economic and military-technical cooperation,” he said.

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic recalled that a number of major exercises were held, including joint maneuvers with the collective rapid reaction forces of the CSTO “Interaction-2025”, a special exercise of reconnaissance units “Poisk-2025”, as well as a logistics exercise “Echelon-2025” in the Republic of Belarus.

In addition, command post exercises were conducted with the rapid deployment forces of the Central Asian region “Frontier-2025” in Tajikistan, as well as “Indestructible Brotherhood-2025” and a special exercise with the formation of radiation, chemical and medical safety of the CSTO “Barrier-2025” in Tajikistan.

The head of state stated that these and other events successfully ensured the coordination of actions of the armed forces of the member states and increased their readiness to carry out assigned tasks.

“In general, it can be noted that the organization’s planned activities for 2025 were completed successfully. At today’s meeting, we summed up the results the work done and determined the current directions of the CSTO’s activities for the next year, setting appropriate tasks,” said the President of the Kyrgyz Republic,” Sadyr Japarov concluded.

The President also added that, in accordance with the accepted procedure, the next chairmanship of the CSTO passes to the Russian Federation.
