CSTO Secretary General on importance of early start of process of delimiting Armenian-Azerbaijani border

Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan on December 22 held a meeting with a working visit to Armenia by the Secretary General of the CSTO Stanislav Send.

As Grigoryan said on his Facebook page, the parties discussed the programs that will be implemented during the chairmanship of Armenia in the CSTO.

In this context, the priority was recognized by the joint activities of the CSTO member states on the development of policies to counter terrorism, extremism, migration security, biological safety and drug trafficking.

Interlocutors exchanged views on the assistance of the CSTO in reducing tensions at the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Tajik-Kyrgyz and Tajik-Afghan borders.

Armen Grigoryan presented a situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, stressing that overcoming this challenge is the task of paramount importance for Armenia. In this context, it was mutually emphasized by the importance of providing conditions for the early start of the process of delimiting the Armenian-Azerbaijani border with its subsequent demarcation.
