Despite the arrests of the generals and the dismissal of the chairman, checks are ongoing in the State Customs Committee. According to the Azerbaijani media, audit checks in the State Committee began immediately after the first special operation.
According to information, serious offenses were identified during the checks. It is expected that after the completion of the inspections, the Prosecutor General’s Office will open a criminal case. It is possible that in the framework of the criminal case new arrests of senior customs officers will follow.
Conducting the appropriate checks in the Goskomozhni confirmed in the Accounts Chamber: “The investigation is currently ongoing. The public will be informed by their results.”
Recall that earlier the SGB conducted an operation in the State Committee for Mids, which arrested the director of the Azernereminalcomples association to Echtiram Khalilov, the deputy chief of the main customs administration on water transport, Rashard Babaev, the head of the road tax and control of the permissive forms of Shyukur Safarov, as well as Head of the Main Operational Office of Masum Rasulov.
Subsequently, the presidential order was dismissed by the Chairman of the State Tatim of Hall Safar Mekhtiev.
