In the Czech Republic on Sunday, May 21, the European Cup on Sports Walking starts.
According to the Turkish light athletics Federation, 12 Turkish athletes, including five athletes, will take part in competitions in the city of Podebrad.
In a female race of 20 km from the Turkish side, Meriem Bekmes and Kader Dost will perform, in a men’s race of 20 km – Salikh Korkmaz, Mazlum Demir and Abdulselam, in a 35 km race – Selman Ilhan.
In addition, in a female race of 10 km among athletes under 20, Turkey will be presented by Emine Jaylan, Elif Nur Ozbay and Tulin Ek, and in competitions among men – Hyrettin Yyldyz, Harun Bilir and Ozan Bayram.
