One of the world’s largest truck manufacturers Daimler Truck announced that by 2030 it was planning to dismiss about 5 thousand employees in Germany.
The German company Daimler Truck held the Capital Markets Day event in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. At the event, the company announced its plans to transfer production as part of the Cost Down Europe program, announced in March 2025, in the most economically effective country.
According to the plan, which, along with other measures, will lead to a loss of about 5,000 jobs in Germany by 2030, dismissal will take place mainly due to natural loss and partial retirement.
As part of the reformations, the company intends to reduce costs by more than 1 billion euros. At the moment, about 35,500 employees are operating in Germany in Germany.
