Dashnak Tufanyan was arrested in Paris

Paris police arrested Loris Tufanyan, the former chairman of the youth branch of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation of Dashnaktsutyun in France, one of the founders of the Charjowum dissident group. This was announced on his Twitter by the French historian Maxim Gauin.

“Probably, the arrest is associated with a violent action against the cultural center at the Azerbaijan Embassy,” Gauin said.

In September of this year, the Armenian radical group tried to attack the cultural center of the Azerbaijani embassy in France. Armenians threw the center of the center with paints, as a result of police intervention, provocateurs were removed from the scene.

This morning, the Parisian police arrested Loris Toufanian, former chair of the ARF’s youth branch in France, who co-established the dissident group Charjoum in 2015. The arrest is likely due to a violent demonstration against the Azerbaijani embassy’s cultural center. pic.twitter.com/JEGOYDRCF5
