Citizens of Azerbaijan Ulker Mamedova, Wife Mustafa Docuzhi, “Emir Turkey” in the ranks of the terrorist group of ISIL, said the court that her husband changed his name to Hadzhar, because he was jealous of the chocolate brand of the same name produced in Turkey.
According to the Turkish media reports, the woman escaped from Syria to Turkey in October after her husband was killed as a result of a drone strike. A criminal case was aroused against her on charges of belonging to a terrorist organization. The woman took the testimony, and she told about how she met and married Mustafa Docuzhi, how she left for Syria and what her husband did there.
Mustafa Docuzhi was the leader of the Paper Document, the group of militants IHIL from Turkey. Members of the group committed a terrorist attack in front of the railway station in Ankara in 2015, as a result of which more than 100 people were killed, hundreds were injured.
In his testimony in the ADYYAMAN police station in October of this year, Ulker Mamedov provided information on 103 citizens of Turkey, who fought as part of ISIL. She told that he met Mustafa Docuzhi in social networks, went to study to Turkey. After the wedding, the spouses moved to Syria in 2014. Mamedova was born in an influential family in Azerbaijan, her father was a colonel. Ulker argued that her husband “made her stay in the zone of the influence of ISHIL.” But at the same time, she did not participate in the activities of a terrorist organization.
“I went to Syria for my children. My fanatic husband would throw them in the midst of war. As I, as a mother, could afford it,” she said in court. Ulker said her husband knew the people who committed the terrorist attack at the station in Ankara, but she herself was not familiar with them. “They went to Syria with her husband. But I do not recognize, I do not support any terrorist actions. I led the usual life in the region controlled by ISIL, did not interfere in any of their activities. After the murder of Musha Mamedov contacted his brother by Suat Document, who told that he wanted to return to Turkey. He advised her to approach the border and surrender to Turkish soldiers.
The prosecutor did not consider the statement by Mamedova sincere, suggesting that she did not tell everything that he knew about IHIL and her husband’s activities.
