“Day of Silence” in Armenia

After 12 days of the active campaign in Armenia declared the “day of silence” on the eve of elections to parliament.

Officially, the “day of silence” came at midnight Saturday, more than a day before the start of the voting. Any agitation is prohibited through public events and speeches.

Violation of political agitation rules, according to Armenian legislation, entails administrative responsibility in the form of a fine.
